Welcome home to Tasmanian Paralympians

Congratulations to Deon Kenzie, Matt Bugg, Jacob Templeton and Todd Hodgetts who all did Tasmania proud at the recent 2016 Paralympic Games.

Deon Kenzie won the silver medal in the T38 1500m. Deon said after the race that he left everything on the track and that the work he had put in over the years had been worth it.

Sailor Matt Bugg took out the silver medal in the 2.4mR class. Matt finished with more victories than any rival, winning four from the 11 races. Matt won the final race and came away with the silver medal.

Todd Hodgetts secured his bronze medal in the final round throw of the F20 Shot Put. Things weren’t going Todd's way in the earlier rounds and he had to dig deep in the final round to secure his place on the podium.

Jacob Templeton had quite an ambitious program competing in five events over the course of the swimming competition. Jacob achieved personal bests in all but one of his events as well as making it into two finals.
