Athlete Wellbeing and Engagement

With the increasing need for balance in an athlete’s life, the TIS are focused on supporting athletes in all areas of their developing careers. The AW&E program works with scholarship holders to help manage and guide their sporting commitments and work/schooling demands to sustain a healthy wellbeing and training outlook.  The program focuses on the following five areas to ensure athletes show commitment and dedication beyond their sporting achievements, engage in the community, and ensure professionalism in doing so.

The AW&E Network consists of providers that are located across Australia – with most NSO employing consultants to support high performance athletes. The program takes wellbeing support for athletes to a new level, placing importance on mental health, career and education, as well as community engagement.
