 The Minister of Sport and Recreation, Premier Will Hodgman, has announced Eddie Ockenden as the winner of the 2014 Southern Cross Television Tasmanian Athlete of the Year Award. Media Release here.
 
Good luck to Darryn Purcell, Nick Silcox, Ali Foot, Kerry Hore, Georgia Nesbitt, Taylor Wilczynski, Sam Volker, Meaghan Volker, Brendan Longman, Max McQueeney and Sarah Hawe who are all competing in the the National Time Trials in Penrith.
 
Good luck to Eddie Ockenden, Tim Deavin and Nick Budgeon as they prepare to represent the Kookaburras in the Champions Trophy from 6 - 14 December.
  
Nominations are being sought for the Southern Cross Young Achiever, Tasmanian Institute of Sport Sports Award. This award aims to recognise outstanding performances of young Tasmanian athletes in Junior, Youth or Under-23 age categories at an international level.
