Anna has always competed in sport and has been part of the Sandy Bay Harrier Club since the age of 15, as well as being a competitive CrossFit athlete, making three Australian-Pacific Regional competitions. Anna currently competes in middle distance and distance events with Athletics South and Masters, has medalled at the National Masters Athletics Championships for the past two years and holds State Masters records.

Anna has been coaching Strength & Conditioning and CrossFit since 2008 and has now made the move into middle distance coaching with a developing squad.

Anna’s passions and strengths are creating an environment of care, competency and consistency where athletes can flourish as individuals and as part of a group. Anna’s goals are to always keep this at the forefront of everything she does and to continue to immerse herself in all educational opportunities that arise whilst prioritising obtaining her Level 2 Club Coach and Level 3 Performance Development Coach a priority.

Outside of her coaching and competing, Anna teaches pre-tertiary Sport Science and Athlete Development at Hobart College and has always been passionate about the long-term development of people in general.

Through her Coaching Scholarship, Anna has had the opportunity to attend Athletics Australia’s High Performance Coaching Workshop and is part of the Women in High Performance Coaching Group.

Moving forward, Anna is keen to increase her coaching knowledge, experience and capabilities and stay up to date with best practice coaching and training methods, as well as building and keeping healthy athletes and positive coach-athlete relationships.

Anna’s coaching qualifications include:

  • Strength & Conditioning Coach since 2007.
  • CrossFit Coach, Personal Trainer
  • Teacher – Athlete Development 2 and Sport Science 3 with Hobart College
  • Club Coach with the Sandy Bay Harrier Club for the past 10 years and the clubs Coaching Coordinator for the past five years.
