Tasmanian Sporting Hall of Fame Induction

On Wednesday 30 November 2022, Tristan Thomas was the 140th member inducted into the Tasmanian Sporting Hall of Fame.

The Minister for Sport and Recreation, Nic Street, announced Tristan as the newest athlete in the Tasmanian Sporting Hall of Fame at a special cocktail function held in Hobart.

Tristan enjoyed a successful career on the track as a 5-time Australian National Champion in the 400m Hurdles.

Between 2004 and 2013, Tristan was selected in nine Australian teams competing at the 2004 Commonwealth Youth Games, 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games and World Cup, 2007 World University Games, 2009 World Championships and World University Games, 2011 World Championships, 2012 London Olympic Games and 2013 World Championships.
