We would like to congratulate Adam Sproule who has been announced as the new Director of the TIS.
Adam brings extensive experience from over twenty-five years in roles in both the public and private sector in Tasmania and overseas.
He has also been heavily involved in managing complex national and international event bids and taskforces.
“I’m proud to be joining the TIS team and the broader Tasmanian sporting community. Paul has made an outstanding contribution during his time, and I am looking forward to building on the great work of the TIS team and the athletes that we work with.”
Paul Austen who has been with the TIS for 29 years and director for the last 19 years finishes up at the end of this month, with Adam commencing in the role soon after.
Minister for Sport and Recreation, Nic Street says he is looking forward to working with and supporting Adam in his new role.
“Adam is well placed to put his skills and knowledge into action in leading the TIS through its next stage of development as it positions our high-performance athletes to achieve at the highest level,” the Minister said.
